Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 11, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Permalive ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Permalive dashboard and managed 24/7 channel service at permalive.stream.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information through streaming platform and YouTube APIs:
- Streaming platform identity: your user ID, login, display name, and broadcaster ID from your streaming platform, provided when you sign in via OAuth.
- YouTube identity and playlist access: when you connect your main or VOD YouTube channel, we receive an OAuth token that allows read-only access to your playlists, playlist items, and video metadata (titles, thumbnails, durations, category IDs).
- Queue configuration: the playlists you import, playlist sources you add to queues, per-source categories, per-queue video exclusions, and any team or agency account relationships you create in the dashboard.
- Stream operation data (managed tier only): when we run a 24/7 channel for you, we log playback events (which video started, stopped, or was skipped), stream health metrics (encoder uptime, reconnect events), and category change events so we can diagnose issues and maintain uptime.
- Team membership: invitations, accepted memberships, and role assignments between accounts on the platform.
- Support correspondence: if you email us at contact@permalive.stream, we retain the content of that correspondence to provide support.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect payment information. Billing for the managed tier is handled outside the dashboard.
- We do not read, store, or resell the actual video content on your YouTube channel. We only reference your videos by their YouTube video IDs when streaming them to your live channel.
- We do not track viewers of your live channel or collect data about your chat participants.
- We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. We only use session cookies required for authentication.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Authenticate you and persist your dashboard session
- Import and index your YouTube playlists so you can build queues
- Persist the queues, sources, exclusions, and categories you design
- If you are on the managed tier: play your queue on your live channel 24/7, update your channel category per playlist source, and self-heal when a connection or video source fails
- Operate, maintain, and improve the service
- Respond to support requests sent to contact@permalive.stream
5. Third-Party Services
Permalive relies on the following third-party services to operate:
- Twitch and other streaming platforms— for authentication (where applicable), broadcaster metadata, and delivering the stream via RTMP. Your use of Permalive is also subject to your streaming platform's privacy policy and terms of service.
- YouTube (Google)— for playlist and video metadata access via the YouTube Data API. Your use of Permalive is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy and the YouTube API Services Terms of Service.
- Infrastructure providers — cloud hosting, encoders, and database providers that process and store your configuration.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secured servers. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you stop using the service, you may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing contact@permalive.stream. Stream operation logs from the managed tier are retained for diagnostic purposes and purged on a rolling basis.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and export the queues, sources, exclusions, and categories you have configured
- Disconnect your streaming platform or YouTube account at any time through the dashboard settings, which revokes our OAuth access
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing contact@permalive.stream
- Revoke our YouTube API access directly through your Google Account permissions at myaccount.google.com/permissions
9. YouTube API Services
Permalive's use of information received from YouTube APIs will adhere to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. We only request the minimum YouTube scopes required to read your playlists, playlist items, and video metadata.
10. Children's Privacy
The service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Contact
For questions about this Privacy Policy or to request data deletion, contact us at contact@permalive.stream.
